Brooke | Class of 2017

I photographed Brooke last year for her Junior Prom and could not wait until we did her senior session.  We decided to do some in downtown and some at the Henry River Mill Village, you know the site of the Hunger Games District 12, for a mix of both urban and natural environments.

The light in downtown was absolutely beautiful that early fall day.

I love the vibrance of the colors,
but that serious black and white is one of my favorites.

These colors:  her eyes, the wall, and the contrast of the burgundy were perfect!

When you know where to look you can even find some earth tones in downtown alleyways.

Fall is just beginning but I love that we still had the greens with the peeks of color.

These are two of my favorites from Henry River.
I think her sister made her laugh, we did lots of laughing that day!

Flawless.

Brooke has some of the prettiest eyes ever.  They seemed to change colors right in front of me.

I'm sure this looks familiar if you've seen the Hunger Games movie.  I am so glad we went here and were able to use this beautiful place in Brooke's session.  (Note to photographers:  This property is no longer open to the public.  It is posted as no trespassing so please respect the owner's wishes.)

Janie, thank you for choosing me to photograph your beautiful girl!  Brooke, you are so fun to photograph and I can't wait until Senior Prom to do it again!

Haylee | Class of 2017

You are going to love Haylee's color palette for her senior session.  She chose bold jewel tones that popped against the natural setting at Murray's Mill.

This idea is all Haylee.  She wanted to incorporate the sweetest baby photo.

I really love the Black and White.  That short loop lighting and the contrast is gorgeous (photographer nerd talk).  But seriously, it's gorgeous!

And then there is this blue with looks amazing with her brown eyes.

Haylee was such a joy to photograph she did whatever I asked even if she wasn't super crazy about getting right up next to nature (like the fish eggs in the creek).  Luckily her dad was there to help us out.  I also want to give credit to her sister Lexi (one of my seniors from 2014!) for the beautiful job on her makeup.  I look forward to her cap and gown session this Spring.

Greyson | Class of 2016

Greyson wanted a more urban location so we chose Downtown Hickory for the buildings, stairs, and graffiti wall.

One thing I really love is a gorgeous black and white portrait.  Greyson's session had so many that looked incredible in black and white.

I loved the variety of backdrops available on this location for a more modern and contemporary look.

Joe | Class of 2016

Joe was one of my Maiden High Blue Devils.  If you know anything about "the biggest little football town in the world" then you know we had to use that beautiful blue game day jersey. (My sons' high school too if you can't tell!)

I love woodpiles.  One of my favorite backdrops for guys!

I offer mini sessions throughout the year.  If you would like to book your own, please contact me at www.StephanieTurnerPortraitDesign.com and go to the Contact Me page.

Sweet Sixteen- Sydney

I am terrible at blogging.  There I said it.  I tend to push it to the back burner until if falls completely off of my radar.  I would like to say I will do better, but basically.....well I am not gonna lie.  Just accept my apology and enjoy this gorgeous girl's Sweet Sixteen Session.

So sweet and such a joy to photograph.  Sydney has a natural beauty and grace.

Timeless Black & Whites never go out of style.

Autumn was just starting to show off for us.  In NC it is always a glorious time in the Fall!

The light, so beautiful and golden.

We had to do some cheer pictures as well!

I absolutely cannot wait to photograph Sydney when she is a Senior!
