Austen | NCHS 2015

Austen was one of my class of 2015 graduates.  His session took place in fall and that is when North Carolina really shows off.

He enjoys playing the guitar and I knew this wooden bridge would be just perfect.

I love the fallen dried leaves and the golden ones still hanging on.  We got to enjoy a little music during his session too.

Those colors!

Austen loves golf and was considering working that passion into his future career.

He was also our chauffeur for the session.

These two are two of my favorites from his session.

Lorissa L | North Lincoln High School Class of 2015

I'm excited to introduce to you my first senior from Lincoln County.  I love that my reach is growing to surrounding areas!  Lorissa is a senior from North Lincoln High School, who booked my half day session with professional hair and makeup.  I can't say how excited I was because she was the first scheduled since I added this option for Seniors (which they are loving!!).
We are going to start with my favorite image...a classic black and white.  Timeless Perfection!

I asked Lorissa what she like best about her session and she said, "I like how laid back the session was and how it was a kinda go with the flow feeling."  Go with the flow, means when it's windy, we work with it....and look what happens!  Stunning!  One thing I assure you is that you will relax, have fun, and enjoy your session!

This I think was the one where she told me she wasn't photogenic.  What???  I believe I disagree, what about you?

This senior is not only beautiful, but she's smart too.  She is an Honor Society member who plans to attend nursing school at the Carolina's College of Health Sciences.

Lorissa enjoys horseback riding and softball and this is her favorite image.

With the Half Day Session, we had plenty of time to go to three locations and five outfit changes, including doing some Cap and Gown portraits.

Lorissa's professional Hair and Makeup is by Heather Hundley of Lifestyles Salon in Conover, NC

If you like Lorissa's Senior Session and would like to book your own session, contact me and mention Lorissa's blog to save $25 off (and Lorissa gets a $25 credit too)!

Devon | Hickory NC Senior Photographer

I'm blessed enough to have friends that I grew up with still in my life.  Leslie is one of those.  Her son Devon graduated in June from our alma mater Bunker Hill High School.  Devon wrestles and also plays football.  He will be playing college football this fall.  Congratulations Devon!  Leslie, I know you are so proud!

Kaityln | Hickory NC Styled Photo Session

I met my friend Celeste at Cato's in Hickory, to help her choose an outfit for her daughter Kaitlyn's session.  When we settled on the dress, I knew what we needed to make the look complete.  We found the big sunglasses also at Cato's and the super cute hat and pearls at Hamrick's.  I met them in gorgeous Downtown Hickory, NC and did Kaitlyn's makeup for the session literally in the back of my car.  I am really in love with styled sessions where my client leaves the vision and creation of the session totally up to me.  Thank you Celeste for trusting me so much and thank you Kaitlyn for being such a great model.

If you want to take the worry out of your next portrait session just ask me about having a styled session!

Prom 2014 | Hickory NC Senior Photographer

I'm trying to catch up on my blogging (and be more diligent with it).  Prom is one of my most favorite times of the year.  I am not a fashion queen, but I surely love bow ties and tulle.  Here are some of my favorite prom images from 2014.

Maiden High School Prom 2014 was my son's senior prom....
Katherina's gown came from Bedazzled as did Alex's suit and accessories.
Beautiful location in The Knolls, Newton, North Carolina.

Bunker Hill Prom 2014 Session were photographed in Hickory, NC.
Pamela wore a gorgeous urban dress and I cannot say how much
I loved Dylan's pink suspenders and bow tie.

Another prom couple from Bunker Hill was Devon and LeAnn.
In her dress she looked like a princess.

Love the look this kid gives me.  So debonair.

What a pleasure to photograph Kyle's prom again.  I
'm lucky to have photographed his Junior Prom as well.
Love these in Black and White, reminds me of an old glamourous movie.

Fred T. Foard Prom 2014.
Alexis had such a gorgeous gown and everything was so perfect that day.
The weather, the flowers, the gorgeous colors.  The whole session was absolutely gorgeous!
We photographed her session and the historic Murray's Mill in Catawba County.

I  can't wait for Prom 2015!  I love photographing Seniors and if you would like more information on our Senior Portrait Sessions or if you love the images and would like to book your session visit my website here.

Hannah, Class of 2014 | Hickory NC Senior Photographer

Hannah is one of my son's classmates.  I met her when she was in 5th grade and I remembered her for she has the prettiest red hair and freckles, and she's a super sweet girl too.  She is always with a smile, so in the images where she isn't smiling, this was really hard work for her, though you would never know it by looking at her images.

Thank you to the beautiful Rex Allen Theater for letting us photograph there.

Not only is Hannah beautiful, but she was a Senior Varsity Volleyball Player for the Maiden Blue Devils.  I think the words "best setter" may have been used.  ;)

This young lady graduated Summa Cum Laude, with highest honor.  She has big plans for her future and is college bound in the fall to study Civil Engineering.
Congratulations Hannah!
