Lewis Family | 2015

I traveled to the beautiful state of Colorado to photograph my high school friend, Brandi, and her gorgeous family last summer.  Colorado took my breath away with the breathtaking snow capped Pike's Peak and the jaw dropping glory of Garden of the Gods.  When I saw Garden of the Gods I knew we had to do Brandi's Family Session there.

We photographed Brandi's session on Father's Day.  I thought perhaps if we went early there would not be many people.  Boy was I wrong!  The park was so crowded.  We had about 2 feet of shade here and were surrounded by people.  You wouldn't know that though by how great they did.

My favorite of the girls.  Aren't they gorgeous!

Emily really just wanted to climb the rocks.

These two are so in love you can feel it.  Brandi is even more beautiful than she was in high school 25 years ago.

Chelsea wanted to get a few shots with her family.  She was in college (and has since graduated).

And some of mom and dad with each of the kids.

And pretty Miss Emily wanted some with mom and dad individually.

Our visit went by so fast.  I was so excited to reconnect with Brandi, spend a really late night talking, visit with the family a little, and create some beautiful memories for her.  I fell in love with Colorado Springs and the Lewis Family.

Carlee | Freshman Year

Carlee's mom wanted to do a session to remember her Freshman year by.

Carlee has the prettiest brown eyes!

I think this is my favorite outfit.  I love the deep purple.

We photographed right up until sunset and the sky paid off.

I love working with teens and dancers.  They work so hard all year preparing for their spring recitals and the parents spend so much on the costumes that doing a end of year session to remember it by just makes so much sense.  I'm glad Carlee's mom thought of doing her Freshman Dance Session.

Jesse | Class of 2015

Jesse chose to do his session at Maiden High School.  He played baseball and football for the Blue Devils.

My favorite image from Jesse's session...

Austin | Class of 2015

We split Austin's Half Day Session so we could capture sunrise at the rock at Maiden High School and also some sunset images.  Early morning we met at the school and waited on the sun.

Austin played baseball so dugout and field shots were something we both wanted to incorporate into his session.  Sports take such dedication and should be part of their senior session.  He's has a pretty sweet collection of shoes too!

He also loves the golf course and fishing.

We stopped after the golf course because honestly....we wanted it to rain!  You'll know why if you keep reading.  The second half of his session we headed for fields and woods but only because it didn't rain.
This is one of my favorite images from his session:

Other than baseball, his shoes, and his momma, Austin's next big love is his truck!

When I asked Austin what his favorite part of being a Stephanie Turner Senior, he said, "You were willing to go mudding with me."  We wanted some big mud holes but the 60% chance of rain never came through for us.  Maybe another time Austin!

Breanna H | Class of 2015

Meet Breanna, a Senior from South Caldwell, and her session is going to blow you away.  Unfortunately I haven't blogged in entirely too long and she just finished her first year of college.  Regardless I cannot skip over this incredible session!

Breanna's Half Day Session started out at the salon with a complete hair and makeup makeover.  Then together we put her outfits together.  (I talked her into this outfit- she was reluctant but after she saw this image she trusted me completely.)

Switched up the hair a little after all the bigger the hair the closer to Jesus. ;)

You just can't beat the Autumn Light.

My favorite...

Earned those patches so let's show them off a little!

Softball has always been a huge part of Breanna's life, and she is continuing to play in college.

And just so you know...her first year of college, they went to NATIONALS!

We also did a Cap and Gown Session and I love how these turned out!

Guess which one made Momma cry?  Yep, walking toward her future!

Sweet Sixteen- Sydney

I am terrible at blogging.  There I said it.  I tend to push it to the back burner until if falls completely off of my radar.  I would like to say I will do better, but basically.....well I am not gonna lie.  Just accept my apology and enjoy this gorgeous girl's Sweet Sixteen Session.

So sweet and such a joy to photograph.  Sydney has a natural beauty and grace.

Timeless Black & Whites never go out of style.

Autumn was just starting to show off for us.  In NC it is always a glorious time in the Fall!

The light, so beautiful and golden.

We had to do some cheer pictures as well!

I absolutely cannot wait to photograph Sydney when she is a Senior!
